A Walk Down Memory Lane

Wednesday's Walk Down Memory Lane
Come for a walk with me down Memory Lane!
And if you have a "Memory Lane" post, head on over to
Scottsville to join in on the fun!

When I was looking for all of Braaten's photos for her birthday post, I stumbled upon this photo of baby Fletch and I. Was he not the cutest fur ball on the planet? And what was with my hair color? Was I perhaps trying to match my dog? Not sure, but it was really light.

And here is my big pooch, different country, different hair.

Update on Fletcher from yesterday: About an hour ago I took him on his usual walk. I took him off the lead for consistency and to try and get back to the great progress we were making. He did well, but about 3/4 of the way around the dam, he started to ignore calls to him. He just wants to hunt. I was able to get his attention, put his lead back on, and continue our walk. I'm not sure if that's progress, but at least I wasn't mad. I'm hoping that he gets the message about when he obeys, he is rewarded with more freedom and a treat for good measure.

Thank you for your encouraging comments yesterday. By the way, yes, I love, love, love my dog. I just want him to listen so we can both enjoy our daily walks. :-)

Join Erica over at Scottsville to join in the fun.

Love the pics...when I see pics of myself from a few years ago I always think just the opposite, 'Was my hair really that dark?"

Dogs start as puppies so we keep them : )

He is so adorable. Glad he listened a bit better today. That is progress.

Carol,
I get it. He must listen. It is about safety, not just mom's sanity.
Makes me think about our relationship with GOD...HE calls, we ignore...we follow awhile...we ignore...HE puts the lead back on and we practice a while...we follow...we follow....oops..we ignore. Wonder if GOD gets as frustrated with us as we do our kids and animals.
Blessings and hugs,
andrea

PS: Thank you for your sweet comments on arise 2 write and your prayers and encouragement.

awww...look at that sweet puppy dog. No doubt that you love him, because as any good parent(of pet or kid) you just want them to listen.

How funny! Your hair does match Fletch. I prefer it the way it is now. And, certainly he was, and is, adorable.

Carol,

I think we all have been through those hair stages. I want to go back to natural with some subtle highlights but that isn't what you get when you go now a days.

Love your puppy and with time, he will learn.
