And last but not least: Barcelona III

Welcome back, for the 3rd time, to see our adventures in Barcelona! I didn't expect to drag it out for this long, but keeping the quantity of photos to less than say about 30 or 40 meant a three-part post. So, here goes...

The interesting thing about this 3 part post is that I am finishing part III with the beginning of our trip. That's simply because I could not do it in one post, and as I was uploading pictures on Blogger from the last photos to the first, things sort of were documented backwards. Catch my drift?

We like to rent apartments when we travel for the convenience of making some of our meals. When the 7 of us travel together, it's much more cost effective to do it that way. If we rented hotel rooms, it would definitely mean needing two.

This is the view from the balcony.

Apparently that little doggy lives across the street.

The kitchen...

And me looking somewhat surprised.

After we dropped our bags off, and got a plan as to where to go first, we decided to go to the all famous "Sagrada Familia". It's a church that was started in the early 1900's and will continue to be under construction until 2025 or so.

We decided to get a bite to eat at this cafe before our tour.

Here she is in all of her beauty. The Sagrada Familia was... simply fantastic. Come with me as I show you around.

Isn't it huge?

We really liked this tree.

There were statues on the outside of the church of different stories or people in the Bible. This is the kiss from Judas to Jesus.

Jesus' birth.

My sweet hubby

I like this one of him.

As we toured the inside of the Sagrada, we snapped photos from inside through different windows.

What a beautiful picture of Barcelona.

The staircase was narrow and wound down it seemed like forever.

I wish you could see down as far as it went. This picture doesn't show it well.

After visiting the Sagrada Familia, we went to a local market. You find them all over the place.

So pretty and bright and colorful.

It was interesting. Inside of the marketplace were all different vendors that you could choose from. They each sold mostly the same things.

Except this one. They sold chickens with their heads still on. Ewww!

I love pomegranates. This one was huge.

The Trompeii Arc. There's one very similar in France called the Champs d'Elysees.

And finally one more of us taken in front of the Sagrada Familia.

Thank you for blessing me by coming by. We're heading off to Germany and Austria on Thursday and I'm afraid there might be a multi-part post coming soon to a blog near you.

May you have joy in the journey wherever you're out.
Blessings, Carol

Gorgeous pictures, Carol. What a splendid time you all must have had. Looking at your pictures is like a little vacation for all of us. I was wondering if that pomegranate was orange or was it the picture? We love them, too. But I have only ever had red ones.
