52 Weeks ~ 17/52 Photos of Me (Our Barcelona Trip)

Forever In Blue Jeans

I've decided to join Carin over at "Forever in Blue Jeans" who has started this 52 week long challenging of getting mom in the picture. We are very often the ones taking the pictures and forget to be in them ourselves. It's great fun, so why don't you join?

I'm finally getting around to our Barcelona pictures. This is Part I of our trip. There are scads of photos that I would love to include so I'll put it into a couple of posts.

Having a weekend getaway in Barcelona meant lining up 3 families to take care of our 5 children plus the dog. We managed to pull it off and everyone enjoyed where they were staying. We loved our time together especially since we haven't had the opportunity to have a trip like this since we moved over a year and a half ago. We value those times together as a couple because it is so important to nurture our marriage. Having said that, you know the hot topic of conversation was, of course, our beautiful children!

These photos were taken at Parc Guell. We loved seeing all of the beautiful, bright colors incorporated in the statues, benches, buildings, and just about anything which was all created by Antoni Gaudi.

We had our tripod with us to get photos of us together.

This was the main entrance into the park.

I love this window!

"Love is a many splendid thing."

We took this photo as we were walking all around the park grounds. It's one of my favorites.

Interesting architecture.

My man can navigate anywhere we go! I love it. I just get lost, but he seems to have this built in compass.

I love these benches.

Say cheeese... y!

This tiling was done on the ceiling. More beauty!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We spent a good amount of time in the "Gothic" quarter a.k.a. Barre Gotic'. We loved it there. It was clean with great restaurants. You can find some of the best Tapas there.
We walked around hand in hand and took it all in.
We ate at this restaurant called, "4 Cats". It's where Picasso would hang out when he was younger and he'd share his art with friends.
We toured around the city on this bus for a couple of days. You can jump on and off whenever you wanted to explore a new area.
This picture doesn't do this building justice. It's another of Antoni Gaudi's creations.
Shawn took this one from the top of the bus of the "Art Museo de Catalunya". I'm not sure if I have the name correct.
This is back at the park.
Thanks for joining me in Barcelona! :-)
Have a wonderful weekend.
All your pictures are stunning but the one of you and Shawn near the top is my favorite by far. Nice job, girlie.
