What a loving family you have. I wish my boys showed more love rather than wanting to pummel each other

Such awesome pictures! You can really see your love for one another. Love the dog with his special fur buddy. My beagle has a little stuffed animal that he loves to sleep with. Strange but cute.

Hi Carol-

It doesn't sound strange. There's something reassuring about knowing you're up there too : ) We don't have a date...we are supposing early part of the summer for a move but STILL no paperwork so we'll see. I'll keep you posted.

I can believe you haven't been to London. We've been all over everywhere but in this last year have really been making a point to see as much of England as we can. One of my favorite spots is in Dorset. Google Durdle Door or Lulworth Cove-one of the most beautiful spots on earth! We may actually go back this weekend as Shannon wants to take Peter to see it. We were there on a frigid day last time and the kids complained about the cold at first but when we climbed (lots of steps!) over the hill and saw the rock bridge it truly took your breath away. Lyme Regis is a bit further on and I've heard its also beautiful.

Let me know if you come to the London area...perhaps it will work out for us to say hello in person. I know you'll have guests and I wouldn't want to get in the way of plans but it would be fun to meet even if it were a quick hello. I'm in London pretty much every week for something or other.

I've had LOTS of experience with houseguests. I find it best to have a rough plan. People say they're happy to 'just hang out with you' but they need to do something too. I generally email mine a few ideas ahead of their trip with links to websites so they can make some plans before arriving. I'm a 22 minute train ride into London, a 15minute drive to Windsor, and a 35 minute drive to Oxford so I always suggest those three spots with a few to dos in each (and how much things cost in US $ because the £ is always shocking to Americans). I'm sure there's great stuff to see in your area and it is fun for guests to be in a real home and experience the villages and countryside but a few plans are good too.

I've seen and done loads in the city so let me know if you need any suggestions...there's a ton of books but sometimes it's easier to ask firsthand.

Have a nice evening-Joyce
