This weekly blog carnival by Pam is so much fun to participate in. It's about cherishing those moments with your child or children and posting about them. Time really does fly and one day, we will wish we could be doing these very things. Thanks, Pam, for reminding us to stop long enough to enjoy the things we experience with our kids and write about them. Dont' forget to write one of your own and link it up to her blog.
My 7 year old twin boys, Grant and Cooper, have recently gotten into Legos™. They received a couple of kits for Christmas and today were putting a lot of time into building these houses.
They were doing such a great job by themselves and were having a blast doing it. Since Shawn took Austin golfing today, they asked me to help with the more complicated areas. I had plans of my own to sit and watch a chick flick, but quickly went up to play with the boys. I have no regrets.
They were putting the finishing touches around both houses.
I had so much fun with them. They are a blessing.
Grant wanted a photo by himself with their creations. One day in the not too distant future, I will miss building lego stuff with these little guys. I guess the good thing is that big boys like to work with Legos, too, so they may be doing this for awhile. :-)
Blessings to you this weekend.

Ahhh... the joys and the trials of legos... i believe we have a tub big enough to start our own store... and probably just as many laying all over the house!! I dont' know that a day goes by where I don't pick up a lego...
I'm gonna miss this??? YOU BET!
Oh I miss the days of legos and tinker toys and train sets and pirate fights!
AAHHH..the joys of boys and their legos! My boys don't have enough patience to build legos! What great pics you took and it is so nice seeing brothers getting along, I wish I had more of that here!
I can't wait until Stunt Man is into the whole lego thing...it is so fun to watch them create things out of just little blocks. What fun for you!
That is great! We have not built much legos from Christmas gifts, yet, but I hope to! Alex loves them, too, but I tend to dislike picking them up! but I see how much I should cherish these moments! Great pictures, they did such a great job! thanks for sharing!
Maya is just getting into legos, her brother has enough to build a small city.
sweet legos! ahh - I do love that moment! We have fun with legos too and old-fashioned wooden blocks!
what great Lego houses! I am so bad at helping my son with his, I wish I could help more. I love this moment and am going to miss it as well with my kids.
came over form Pam's
Carol,
I loved this post! I have so many memories of my son and I playing Legos together! He still has them in a bucket and when my nephews come to stay they break into them and start creating!
Your children are precious, my friend. Hope your weekend was blessed! Big hugs your way!!
You know, your post really made me think about what I'm already missing out on. I hate legos, and my little one loves them. I always have someone else in the house build with him. I am going to have to get down there and do it. Thanks for suggesting it.
I have 3 sons and none of them every played with Legos! Isn't that weird? Sweet post
