A new photography website called, "I Heart Faces" has weekly photo contests. This week's theme is "Black and White." I thought I would give it a whirl.
"Kitty & Mel"

Hi Carol-I don't have your email so I'm replying here-hope that's fine.
First-the photo is adorable...your daughter looks so happy.
About Stonehenge-I've been-alot-all my houseguests want to see it : ) It is National Trust though and we're members so I am willing to go along since I don't have to pay every time. The first time we visited we were headed there in the car and my kids asked what is stonehenge and my husband said it's a field with some big rocks and they said, 'Why are we driving an hour and a half to see some big rocks?' But, it's kind of interesting-it is right in the middle of a wide open field so you wouldn't want to do this one in the rain. If you go to Stonehenge you can combine it with a trip to Bath. They're about 30 miles apart and Bath is a city I love. You can tour the roman baths and they are very cool. Your kids are young so I'm sure you have to sightsee in moderation : )
Wow. Such a sweet picture of a lovely little girl! And your cat. How cute. I am so glad you entered. It's oodles of fun to meet lots of nice people and learn their picture taking technique!
I’m so glad you stopped by. My name is Carol. I am a Jesus-adoring, husband-loving, blessed mama of 5, back-adjusting, scrapbooking, quilt-making, furniture painting, friend appreciating, blog writing, recipe making, dessert lovin’, Jersey born, Michigan-living kind of girl. I love going to church and serving alongside some of the best people I know. Traveling is one of my passions and I hope to do it more.
I started “Joy in the Journey” about 9 years ago when I lived in England. We moved back in 2010 and life has changed in a few ways; well, it got busier.
Join me as I share about life in our home, what it means to have 2 kids at Michigan State University and 3 in high school. We stay busy with the high schoolers in 3 different sports. Austin is a junior, Braaten is a freshman, Melanie is a junior in high school, and Grant and Cooper are freshman.
