We had a fun-filled weekend again. I would have liked to write a "Weekend Wrap-up", but it would have been lengthy. In the interest of time, I'll break it down over the course of the week.
Guy Fawkes Night, also known as "Bonfire Night", is on November 5th in England. The Lymm Rugby Club held their celebration on Saturday so that more people can participate.
Our friends, Phil and Jane, invited our small group to go together. Our evening started at the local "chippy", a.k.a. the fish 'n chips. That stuff is so good, but so bad at the same time.
The kids were all standing at the Lymm Cross, a monument that has been there since the 17th century. Click on the links to find out more about it and to see what it looks like in daylight. The Cross is located in the center of Lymm and is very often used as a landmark. If you know where it's located, you can just about find any place with that as your starting point.
Before this shot was taken, a lovely one was done of Jane and I stuffing our faces. Not a pretty sight!
After eating, we headed to the bonfire. They had a couple of rides and the kids each chose the spinning tea cups~ right after they had just eaten! To our surprise, no one got sick.
It took awhile to get the bonfire going, but eventually they were successful. If you look closely, you can see the effigy of "Guy Fawkes".

Looks like you had a blast! How fun!
I know what you mean about money. My friend shops the sales, but she does admit that she buys clothes she really doesn't need. She just likes to stay in fashion.
