Just like this...
You invite a couple of families, that you really enjoy spending time with, to the annual American Expat 4th of July party. It was actually a week early on June 28th.
The men and boys play some ball...
The girls get their faces painted and do the Macarena...
You grab some good food and talk for awhile...
The night before that fun-filled day, you decide to bake a cake, in last-minute fashion, to enter the bake-off competition,
More face paint...
The kids keep the balloon guy very busy. I mean very, very busy...
You join the sack races (Amy took 1st!)...
My hubby tries to take first...
but Phil, who really won, had a guy cheat and dive face-first to tie with him...
You fall down a couple of times in those crazy sacks...
The third guy from the right was the "cheater"...
Amy had some serious air time...
Then you join the egg toss... nice catch, Aus...
Oh what concentration...
Shawn and Austin get 2nd in the egg toss...
Then Steve and Austin try their hands at it and take 1st...
Grant gets his 15th balloon animal and is a happy camper. And finally...
You capture one more group shot to end the day.
It was all an amazing blessing especially since last year on this day I cried. I did that because it was our 1st official holiday away from home and it was hard.
God has blessed us and has given us more than we deserve. Don't get me wrong... we love and miss you all back home.

Wow, from the pictures it looks as id you had a great time even though you are all away from good ol' US of A. The most important thing though is that you get to spend quality time with your family and friends. So in that manner it does not matter where you are as long as you are together. From the phots you all look like a very close family and may God Bless you and keep you all. Hope you had a wonderful holiday.
