Pull up a chair, pour yourself some coffee, and join me for a piece of Pumpkin Swirl Bread.
And you know how sometimes you don't do something because it's much bigger in your head than what the reality actually is? I hate it when I do that.
Like when my shoes are all caddywompous in my closet and I just won't organize them because it seems like it will take an hour, but it really only takes 6 minutes? Or that pile of recipes that you desperately want to organize in a 3 ring binder with tabs to separate main dishes, desserts, appetizers, breads, breakfast casseroles, etc.? I have to do that job soon.

Well that's me with making homemade bread.
Until yesterday, that is.
Perhaps the only down-side is the waiting.
And waiting...
and waiting a little more for the dough to rise.
And since I didn't have any raisins on hand, I used toasted pecans like some of the other people that made the recipe and left a review did.
Lots of people mentioned giving a loaf as a gift, and I think I might just do that for Christmas. Only I probably will make mini loaves.
So what do you think? Is it something you will try?
Do you make homemade bread? If you do, I'd love to try a recipe that you absolutely love.
Thanks and have a blessed Saturday.

Carol,
I've made it from scratch before and nothing tastes quite as good as home made. I have to try this amazing recipe and see how it goes. Waiting for it to rise does take time. Makes you wonder how women in the 1800's did it without our modern conveniences.

Yes! That recipe looks fantastic! I am going to try it tomorrow!
That bread looks AMAZING!!
We make a lot of gluten free bread here. I do miss a good homemade bread recipe but I need to get more adventurous with my gf recipes.
I love it. There is nothing like fresh from the oven bread slathered in butter. Which is why I rarely do it : ) I have a bread machine but there is a cinnamon loaf I make 'by hand' that is fabulous.
I think your bread would make a wonderful Christmas gift!
I don't think I'd try it at this stage in my life, but I sure do wish I was having some with you!! :) looks very good!!
I know I would absolutely love this!
Every loaf of bread I've ever tried to make from scratch has just not turned out well. I can't make it to save my life! I can do the bread machine but that's about it. Your bread looks super yummy!
I came over from another blog. I like your blog. The pumkin bread looks great. You are blessed. I am also counting my blessings this month.
In Christ,
