I'm feeling totally unorganized and slightly busy with stuff around here.
Everywhere I turn, there is disorganization & disarray.
I guess that comes with a major move.
So to get you up to speed with where I'm at, I took a few photos...
I found this at a "charity" shop in England. In American speak, that would be the "Goodwill".
I thought it would be pretty in one of the bathrooms. I have to distress it and then I'll hang it up.
The "Ladies Tea" at my church is on Saturday and I am hosting a table. One of my table themes, in which there are several, is the "Fruit of the Spirit". I am painting & decoupaging a flower pot for each of the women at my table. The flowers I chose are daisies, Lobelia, & impatiens. Once I have them all done, I'll post more pictures. Actually, I'll do a post all about the "tea."
Here is one of the many piles. It is right in the entryway area of our home and quite unattractive at the moment.
Garage sale pile...
more piles
Reminder: Today is the National Day of Prayer.
It's a day where we set aside some time to pray for our country, our government, our president, leaders, family, church, etc.
I like this sign and want to re-paint it since the colors faded. I will definitely be keeping the current words, but want to boost the color.
It reads: "Prayer: When life gets too hard to stand... kneel."
Ah, yes, I need to get on my knees more.
We bought this cuckoo clock in Germany back in December.
It is so neat to hear it and also watch the little dancers go around as "Edelweis" or "The Happy Wanderers" plays. It's a treasure from our adventures in Europe.
Yet another project.
And more piles.
I'll get there. I know. It all just takes time and one of the "fruits of the spirit" is patience which I lack at times and the Holy Spirit desires for me to have.
Quick note: Yesterday's photo was taken by my daughter, Braaten, who loves taking pictures of her feet, even when her toenails are "Shrek-colored" and her feet are dry. Melanie, who sits between her toes has recently been sporting crutches, not because she broke anything, but because the previous homeowners left them here. She finds them fun to play with because they are just her size. Thanks for asking about her. She is well.
Have a wonderful & blessed Thursday.

Wow! you do have a lot going on, but they all look like fun projects!!
Remember to take after pictures so we can see how it all turns out :-)
I need to make some piles for "Charity!"
Glad noone is hurt. That is alot of piles you have going on as well as projects. I am impressed with how quickly you are settling in and getting things done and already you are taking on other projects.
Love the prayer sign.
Have a great time with all your projects!
I've spent the past few years actively decluttering and simplifying my home but despite all my work, I know I'd have all kinds of piles too if we decided to move. I'm really trying to get it to the point that it will be easy to move because we won't have that much!
I like the flowerpots you're working on and enjoyed your blog.
You are so sweet!! And I love that you have me on the right side as one of the ones you read. WOW. That made my whole day! Thanks for your sweet comment. But that would be my daughter, not me. I know, I know we look A LOT alike. Although I tend to think she is much purtier than me.
And don't worry about the mess. Even if you clean it up, there will always be another one. It looks like you are having good family time and teaching about the Lord's words. I'd say that's good stuff!
Love the flower pots! can't wait to see the "tea" =)
I went to Bible School at Capernwray years ago!! I heart "Tea Time" in England!! =)
Blessings as you settle in!
